Secured $350,000 of state funding for a 24 hour emergency facility on 16th Street North in St. Petersburg; attended their first Open House event and subsequent anniversary events (PEMHS).
Recipient of annual PACE Award, Governmental Affairs – (PEMHS Applauds Community Endeavor)
2004
The annual Legislative Open House for H-51 was dedicated to “The Greatest Generation.” Approximately 100 attendees brought items specifically for low income, ill, and home-bound seniors. Suncoast Center for Community Mental Health, Inc., Gulf Coast Jewish Community Services and the Area Agency on Aging were recipients of the items received.
2006
Secured $1,003,819 of state funding for Public Receiving Services, Tampa Bay area, to help keep patients out of jail and emergency rooms (PEMHS)
Secured $650,000 of state funding for mental health services for ex-felons, Gulf Coast Jewish Services, Inc.
Secured $150,000 of state funding for rehabilitation services for clients of Vincent House.
SPECIAL RECOGNITION – The Home Office and Main Campus of PEMHS was named THE LESLIE WATERS BEHAVIORAL SERVICES CENTER. This honor was announced at PEMHS’ 25th Anniversary and PACE Awards Dinner.
