SEMINOLE - City Council candidates Thomas Barnhorn
and Leslie Waters have picked up the endorsement of the Seminole
Professional Firefighters Local 2896.
Barnhorn is currently
in the final year of a three-year term on City Council and is
seeking re-election for another three-year term.
Waters is a
veteran state lawmaker whose time in Tallahassee termed
out.
"Mr. Barnhorn has represented the union (on City
Council) the past three years," said Mike Murray, president of the
union. "He's fair with us and communicated well with
us.
"Union members that have dealt with Mrs. Waters said she
was very helpful to the causes of firefighters (at the state
level)."
Barnhorn, Waters, Patricia Plantamura and James
Quinn are running for two seats on the Council in the March 10
election. The top two vote getters will serve three-year terms.
